…Arne Fogel now serves as the official out-of-state booking agent for rising jazz vocalist NANCY HARMS. Born and raised in Minnesota, Harms will be relocating to New York City in September. She made her New York City debut on June 21st to a packed house in the Village’s THE BAR NEXT DOOR, and is set for upcoming appearances at The SORTLAND JAZZ FESTIVAL in Norway, The ROCKWOOD MUSIC HALL in NYC and HARLAN’S AT THE NEVERMORE in New Hope, PA. Her debut CD “IN THE INDIGO” was voted one of the TOP TEN CD releases of 2009 by the Minneapolis-St. Paul STAR-TRIBUNE’s annual critic’s poll. Many of the CD’s songs can be heard on New York-based PENTHOUSE RADIO’s playlist, including the title song, co-composed by Nancy, Arne Fogel, and producer ROBERT BELL….The CD is currently being played across the country, and can be heard on over 140 different radio, cable, and syndication outlets. Arne Fogel is credited “Vocal direction/Creative consultant” on the album…….

A brand-new public radio series for Arne Fogel is now in development, originating at JAZZ 88, KBEM-FM 88.5 (working title: MINNESOTA VOICES: “CERTAIN STANDARDS”), which will feature Arne’s stories from “The Great American Songbook” and some of the Twin Cities’ top jazz vocalists, including DEBBIE DUNCAN, CONNIE EVINGSON, MAUD HIXSON and NANCY HARMS. …….Arne Fogel and singer-actor JENNIFER ECKES continue their series of shows at HONEY, the beautiful new downstairs lounge in the old “Jitters” space, below the “GINGER HOP” restaurant in N.E. Minneapolis. Part jazz, part cabaret, these shows feature special appearances by Twin Cities singers from both fields, with piano accompaniment. “SECOND SUNDAY” returns on August 8th with singer SHERIDAN ZUTHER!.
